Tiny Bird Song Music

The connected web and electronics have totally surrounded me. It's a mixed blessing - at least enough information and at least enough music equipment!

Duckie and I have been producing Tiny Bird Song stage performances for a year and trying them on various sensitive audiences. Now, it's time for a full multi-media trial on the internet. We're tying music, fine art and poetry together in an all-out effort to produce meditative moments and reverence for quiet Nature. Subscribers will be able to download the music portion to their iPod, phone or computer (no charge for individual music pieces).

So it's going to be Tiny Bird Song of the Month productions! They will be offered free to opt-in subscribers. Free as the birds with no bothersome extra emails.

See: TinyBirdSongs.com to try this program.

2006 Music Production Resolution

The music grackle has made his 2006 New Year’s Resolution ... a commitment to going completely "computer digital" with his music production. This means everything will be housed inside a single Mac except for amplifier, speakers and keyboard.

It’s already happening in Los Angeles in a big way ... for both contemporary and conventional sounds in Film / TV production. In Vermont, Robert Fritz, author of The Path of Least Resistance recently released a wonderfully clear and powerful cd (The Little Pinecone) using synthesized orchestra instruments (from East-West) and the software Digital Performer.

Also, the grackle intends to try composing some music soon using only the computer keyboard while on a jetliner flying very fast and very high. Very portable ... It’s a New Day for songwriters and composers!

Music of the Stars in February

Hope to see all of you in February at the Brazosport Planetarium. Diana Klebenow and I will be playing under the starry, starry roof. Diana, a delightful flutist, is backing the stellar Subaru projection. I will be keyboarding another portion. Judi James is the event director.

Amazingly, the Brazosport Planetarium is becoming a true venue for both science and art in this area, thanks to Judi and Diana.

Using New Internet Services in the Music Industry

One thing we learned from the Texas Songwriters Cruise is that we must stay on top of techniques.

In February, I'm releasing articles that review Pandora.com for those of us in the music industry. If you have any ways you are using this music service in your endeavors, please let me know.
